Consciously Cleansing - Day Two

I remember reading somewhere in the conscious cleanse notes that we need to rest and take it easy during our cleanse. Well, not today! Tuesdays are a whirlwind of a day and I love it!

A quick recap of day two: 5:30am I was up and ready to go, which was a nice surprise considering how I felt yesterday. I also felt hungry right away. I meditated then made a raspberry smoothie with 1 cup raspberries, 1 banana, 2 cups spinach, chia & flax seeds, water and ice. I also added a little bit of honey peanut butter to it and it wasn’t delicious. I think it was too much spinach. Next time, I’ll add coconut water instead of plain water or almond milk.

I was thankful to have made enough food the night before to have lunch leftovers for my busy day. After teaching at the studio and a strange fire marshal inspection, I had an hour to go home to make our dinner. My Facebook post this morning was, “Blog is up! Day two begins! and it’s Taco Tuesday!” Perfect, I thought for dinner. I made shredded chicken, sautéed with onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, zucchini, cauliflower. I also made guacamole and diced up some tomatoes. I used romaine lettuce instead of tortillas and it was crunchy and tasty! Food is actually good without cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise based guac.

I made it through my day without having any gluten, dairy, caffeine, sugar, or alcohol! I am very proud of myself. Although around 2pm I was having a bit of an energy crash. I didn’t crave coffee or have a headache but I was drained. I ate some raw veggies and drank tons of water and that seemed to be a pick me up.

So on to tomorrow. Thanks for reading! Below is a picture of the beautiful bouquet from one of my amazing students. She gave it to me for my birthday. Thank you #the_blonde_bouquet!!!
